Disable UAC in Windows Vista

In order for us to help you with remote support, the Windows Vista UAC (User Account Control) must be disabled.  Please follow these six steps to turn off the UAC.

1.      Open up the Control Panel

2.      Look for “User Accounts”

3.      You’ll see the link for “Turn User Account Control (UAC) on or off”. Click that.

4.      Uncheck the box that says “Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer.

5.      Click OK.

6.      Reboot.
